Built by someone who understands the problem
My name is Brian Adair, and I'm a senior software engineer based in Calgary, Alberta.
I've spent nearly a decade building software, working across full-stack systems, financial data, automation, and user-focused products. I started Boreal because I wanted a better way to understand my own finances without turning money management into a second job.
As someone raising a young family, planning for the future, managing accounts across different financial systems, and trying to make smart decisions with limited time, I know how frustrating personal finance tools can be.
