How syncing and reconnection work

Supported Desjardins accounts keep refreshing in Boreal after the first connection so the dashboard can continue reflecting newer activity over time. Boreal relies on the updates Plaid is able to retrieve from the institution through that link.

At certain points, Desjardins or Plaid may require you to sign in again before syncing resumes. When that happens, reconnecting the account inside Boreal is usually enough to restore the feed, with availability still varying by product.

Security and privacy

Desjardins connections inside Boreal are read-only. Boreal can see the account data needed for insights and summaries, but it cannot send payments, move money, or make any changes to your accounts.
